Mascara...a love story
If you know me, you most likely know the one beauty product I cannot live without is mascara. I am rarely seen without it due to the "gift" of having blonde lashes. When I have ventured out sans mascara I typically get comments asking if I am feeling well, or that I look tired.....thanks....no not sick, possibly tired but really I just don't wear mascara sometimes because #lazy.
Dramatics aside, it makes a huge difference for me and over the years I have tried hundreds of mascaras always on the hunt for THE mascara.
In this case it's mascaras.
Two of my hands down favorites (I buy these two tubes at a time) are Maybelline's the Falsies Volum' Express in Blackest Black and Jordana's Best Lash Extreme Volumizing Mascara in Black.
These are two great options if you are looking for something affordable yet effective.
Jordana you can find at Walgreen's and retails for $3.99, it is a great lengthening and volumizing mascara and I find this darkens my lashes in one coat, and I don't have any issues with flaking. 11/10 stars for Jordana because aside from being a fabulous mascara it is made in Italy, so I feel extra fancy wearing my Italian mascara..it's the little things in life.
Maybelline the Falsies I love in part because of the brush. It has a perfect curve for my lashes helping give me length, volume and curl in one swipe and you can usually find this gem for under $6. No issues with flaking and the formula doesn't give you spider eyes, another 10/10 in my book. Another plus is that it is made right here in America, so if you are someone who is concerned with where your products come from both of these are great options.
If you try these budget friendly options let me know, I hope you will love them as much as I do and I'll be back again soon sharing my favorite dupe for a high end primer.
